Trustworthy AI in Practice

Trustworthy AI in Practice is an Austrian initiative launched by leiwand.ai to raise awareness and increase engagement with the complex topic of trustworthy artificial intelligence (AI) in Austria. In a series of interdisciplinary workshops, users and experts from different sectors identified as having a high pressure for adopting trustworthy AI met to discuss challenges and opportunities.

The Austrian initiative Trustworthy AI in Practice was started by the founders of leiwand.ai, Rania Wazir and Gertraud Leimüller in 2021. Together with cooperation partners, such as the Vienna Business Agency, the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, INiTS and Women in Health IT, as well as the research project fAIr by design (promoted by FFG), leiwand.ai has started an interdisciplinary discussion on trustworthy AI in Austria. Trustworthiness in the context of AI can include a variety of aspects, such as human agency and oversight, privacy, transparency, accountability, diversity, non-discrimination and fairness. • Trustworthy AI and human resources

  • Trustworthy AI and health

  • Trustworthy AI and environmental sustainability

  • Trustworthy AI as a colleague

The findings of each workshop can be downloaded on our blog.
